Hello to all. Have not posted a LWBC reception report in a while so I am overdue. The last several evenings here in the Midwest (Indiana) we have been having increased TA propagation allowing me to listen to several LWBC stations.

153 kHz, Algeria has had an absolutely wickedly strong carrier usually right up there with TDF on 162 kHz. These are the 1st to be heard and the last to be heard. If only 153 kHz would crank up there modulation a bit. There carrier here can be 45 dB out of the noise and yet only whispers can be heard.

162 kHz, TDF, need I say more. ALWAYS strong like fresh horse radish ! Carrier and modulation super easy an hour before local sunset ! Carrier can usually hit 40-50 dB S/N.

171 kHz, Morocco. Not up to their normal signal (yet) as the season is still young. Although on any given evening when the bands are not shut down due to solar conditions good copy of voice and traditional music can be easily heard.

198 kHz, BBC-R4. Good ole BBC still comes in through out the evening, usually strong right at local sunset, then a drop off in signal, then a gradual build up until they are recordable quality starting at 05:00 to 06:00 UTC.

225 kHz Poland. One of the hardest for me here in the Midwest. Boy am I jealous of you guys and gals along the east coast :-) I can usually spot their carrier but it averages about 20 dB out of the noise which is not enough to listen to any modulation. They run a directional array that does not favor N.A. I cherish the several recording I have made of Poland from 1-2 years ago when propagation was outstanding and they were pounding in.

252 kHz, Algeria. This has been a solid signal almost every evening with good copy of all kinds of modern music. Was able to make many recordings the last several evenings.

As an aside DCF77 has been doing very well most evenings also. All for now, 73 Gedas W8BYA (Indiana)
